Community Service: While I often dedicate my time to local events such as the Dickens festival and to local races, the most impactful volunteer opportunity was being a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) at Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. I spent two summers and about 175 hours assisting the summer camp counselors with activities, lessons, and crafts. I also kept campers on task and organized while still having fun. Having the opportunity to be a friend to the 2nd and 3rd graders and seeing the joy on their faces opened my eyes to see that I want to follow a career path that will allow me to give back to this community that has helped me grow.
