Step 1: Register the Student on the LRHSD Genesis Information Portal
**While we encourage parents to register as early as possible, please make every effort to register your child no later than Monday, August 5, 2024.**
The Genesis Information Portal is the web portal which will be used to collect student information, and where you will indicate which team you want to join. On the Genesis portal, parents and/or guardians will also electronically sign the forms and paperwork which are required by the Lenape Regional High School District and the State of New Jersey for student participation in athletics.
Directions: Parents and/or guardians should log into their Genesis Parent Portal and register their student for athletics. All information will be listed under the “forms” tab. Please note, you may be asked to provide medical, insurance, and allergy/special medical needs information, physician information, and emergency contacts.
Please note: Parents and/or guardians must re-register their child for every sport, every season in which they want to play.
Step 2: Submit Participation Fee
Payments can be made beginning Monday, July 8, 2024.
Activity Fee is for a sports team $300 with a maximum of $600 per family. This annual payment is good for the entire school year.
- To make payment please visit SchoolCashOnline.com.
- For more details, please visit the Athletic and Extracurricular Activity Participation Fee page
Financial Hardship: No student will be denied the opportunity for an educational experience due to financial hardship. Students who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program are exempt from paying the Athletic and Extracurricular Activity Participation Fee. Families who do not qualify for Federal Free and Reduced Lunch, but are under financial constraint may submit an Athletic and Extracurricular Activity Participation Fee Waiver to the Principal for consideration. Please contact your school’s Athletics’ Office for a waiver form.
Step 3: Submit Physical Paperwork
All student athletes must submit either proof of a yearly physical exam, and/or a health history update, prior to the start of the playing season. Physical exams are valid for one year only. Please read below for assistance in determining which form you will need to submit:
If your child's last exam is dated more than 365 days from the first day of practice for the sport which he or she wishes to play, then your child will need to have an updated physical exam and you must also complete a Health History Update Questionnaire.
If your child has a valid yearly exam on file, but the exam is dated more than 90 days from the first day of practice for the sport which he or she wishes to play, then you (as the parent/guardian,) must only complete the Health History Update Questionnaire.
Due Dates: Please be sure to submit your child's physical paperwork at least one week prior to the sport's first practice (i.e., fall, winter & spring).
State Regulation: The physical examination MUST be completed by a health care provider who has completed the Student Athlete Cardiac Assessment Professional Development Module.
PLEASE NOTE:
- No athlete will be allowed to participate until ALL of the above steps are completed by the above deadlines and ALL of their paperwork has been processed through the Athletic Trainer’s office.
- Physical Examinations must be reviewed and approved by the Lenape District School Physicians prior to an athlete being declared medically eligible to practice. This process could take up to 3-5 days.
- Athletes are encouraged to have all their paperwork turned into the Athletic Trainer’s Office as soon as possible prior to the start of the season.
- THE TRAINER STRONGLY SUGGESTS THE COMPLETED PACKET BE SUBMITTED 1 FULL WEEK PRIOR TO THE START OF THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE.
