Service projects

The Media Center is continuing the Peer Tutoring Program for the 2023- 2024 School Year!

We will be offering two types of Peer Tutoring:
1. Peer Tutoring in the Media Center during Study Hall
2. Virtual Peer Tutoring during non-school hours

If you are interested in being a Peer Tutor, please complete the  Peer Tutor Sign Up Form    Once you submit the form, we will be reaching out to your teachers in that
content area for references.

We look forward to working on this program to support our students and provide community service hours for our tutors.

SJ Food Bank volunteers help with sorting donated food for distribution through partner agencies and Hope Mobiles, packing food boxes for Senior Citizens, and packing bags of food for children at risk. The actual project of the day is dependent upon projects that are available.

Individual Volunteers need to attend an orientation which is held once a month on the second Wednesday of the month at 6PM at the Food Bank, 1501 John Tipton Blvd. Group Volunteers will recieve an orientation overview for their project on the day of service.

Deer Brook Civic Association needs volunteers for activities and events within the Deer Brook community to serve the needs of their residents.  Community service hours are offered for those willing to help.

Compassionate Friends is always looking for volunteers to walk along side horses assisting student riders. However, there are also general farm chores, as well. All volunteer opportunities are available below.
