Chess Club

The Shawnee High School Chess Club welcomes all students interested in chess at any level, from beginner to expert!   Chess club is a great place where students will find friendship, social interaction, and a fun learning and competitive environment.  Challenge matches are weekly events.   Players are invited to come in and play as many games as they want, as their schedules permit.  Attendance is encouraged every week, but because of schedule conflicts, players may come whenever and stay for as long as they want.   Do you want to challenge your favorite teacher to a chess match?   Matches between teachers and students are welcome! Watch for updates on the Google Classroom and listen to the morning announcements for more information!
